Digital Creation, Storytelling & Creativity

DESCRIPTION

In the digital age, teaching goes beyond textbooks and lectures. To engage today’s students and equip them with future-ready skills, educators must integrate technology into their classrooms. This course focuses on the power of digital storytelling as an innovative, cross-curricular tool that enhances student engagement while fostering essential 21st-century competencies, including Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity (the 4Cs). Teachers of all subjects will gain the skills to use digital storytelling in a practical, hands-on way, creating captivating lessons that combine the best of traditional and digital pedagogies.

Participants will explore the theoretical foundations of digital storytelling, understand its pedagogical benefits, and gain practical experience in designing and producing digital story lessons. Through interactive workshops, educators will create their own digital story lessons by integrating multimedia elements such as text, audio, images, and video. By the end of the course, teachers will be equipped with the necessary tools to confidently use digital storytelling to enhance their students' learning experiences.
